After lots of thought and consideration - I'm going back to Juneau for another summer adventure. I must admit, Alaska got into my blood and I can't imagine a more amazing place to spend the summer.
This year though, I'm driving !!! Well part of the way. I'll drive from Boise to Prince Rupert, BC, Canada a whopping 1500 miles, and then take the ferry to Juneau and arrive there 24 hours later.
I am SO EXCITED! First, to be back in Juneau for the summer. Second, for the road trip! I love road trips. I really, really do!
At the end of the summer Larry & Sarah are joining me in Juneau, we're going to take another little trip together. We'll take the ferry to Skagway, and then drive to Fairbanks for a few days to hopefully (fingers crossed) experience the "Northern Lights" - they say if you spend 3 days in Fairbanks you have a 90% chance of seeing them - I guess that means we better spend 4 days there :)
The road trip from Skagway to Fairbanks and then back to Idaho will be (drum roll please) 3300 miles - did I mention I LOVE road trips!
